            2025- A NEW SEASON BEGINS

Dear Friends of Abbondanza Farm

Thank you for visiting my web site.

Four years ago, as the pandemic still had us in it's grip, I wrote in this space that
I was optimistic that we would come out of this with a better sense of what was
valuable and worth holding on to and what we needed to permanently abandon because
it never really served us or our beautiful planet.

And in fact last season was one of our best with people flocking to the farm in great numbers to attend our workshops.  It was so encouraging!

And now in 2025 we are going to just keep on growing!!

Education and activism is an essential element of what we do here at Abbondanza Farm and
I am delighted to being able to offer you a series of informative and practical workshops
on a range of topics to help you learn to grow and transform your own food and provide
you with the skills to live more sustainably and in a better balance with the natural world.

Please come join us for a workshop, a visit or to volunteer.

A SERIES OF WORKSHOPS ABOUT FOOD

Growing it. Transforming it. Cooking it.

Growing, preparing and enjoying your own food is an important, comforting
and simple way to gain control over our lives in these chaotic times.
Abbondanza Farm is pleased to offer a series of workshops to help you do just that.

THE GARDEN OF EATING
Growing your own food is easier than you think. And so much fun.
Gwynne Basen has been doing it at Abbondanza Farm for the last 25 years and she has a basket full of tips and techniques to share as we tour her beautiful gardens and see how it’s done.
Sunday June 15  10:00 am - 1:00 pm

FUN WITH FERMENTATION
Chef Jeremiah is passionate about using fresh, local products and encouraging everyone to do the same in their kitchens. In this workshop he will guide you through the process of making your own ferments with organic veggies harvested right from our farm.
Participants will prepare and take home a jar of sauerkraut.
Sunday September 21  10:00 am - 1:00 pm

SIMPLE SAUSAGE MAKING
We all know that sausages are a big family favorite, tasty and versatile. But did you know that they are easy to make at home? Jeremiah will take us through the entire process
of making sausages in your own kitchen.
Everyone will head home with a new set of skills and some
delicious sausages to make for dinner.
Sunday October 19  10:00 am - 1:00 pm

CHEESE. IT’S SO EASY!
Who doesn’t love cheese! Master chef Jeremiah Bullied will take you through the steps of making your own fresh cheese. And together we will sample some of the best cheeses Quebec has to offer.
Sunday November 9  10:00 am - 1:00 pm

All workshops are bilingual.
